Since Jesus established the church, preaching has been a central tenet of its existence. Jesus preached. The disciples preached. The apostles assigned preaching to be done in every church they planted. The descriptions of the work of a pastor-shepherd-elder by Paul includes preaching/teaching the Word of God. So, what is Biblical preaching? What’s it’s goal? Is it distinct from teaching? This won’t be a lecture but a conversation. Join us.

Jay Abramson
Led to Christ by his parents, Jay met his wife Liz at Wheaton College. He attended and studied at Wheaton College, Bethel Seminary (MACE) and Univ. Conn. PhD. Through out his ministry career, Jay worked as Camp Administrator, C.E. Pastor at Faith Covenant Church in Burnsville, MN and Pastor of Discipleship, Valley Community Baptist Church 1989-1994. Most recently, Jay served as the Sr. Pastor at Valley Community Baptist Church 1994-2020.
